Cid Battle
Phew, took me 5 tries, my right arm is killing me¬!!!
Team:Lightning, Fang and Hope. Mainly used relentless assault, diversity, evened odds and combat clinic. This is my favourite team, Fang seems most likely to die in the story, hope she doesn't.

Thermadon Battle
am so pissed off, need to get Thermadon to stagger to beat him, and Vanille is just standing there, not attacking (no status changes)- letting the stagger bar deplete!!!!!!!! paradigm system is shite, should have been allowed to give orders!!!!!!
'Leveling'
Gonna level for a bit, am in the the Palamecia, crew corridors. I've noticed it's best to fight the soldiers, if you defeat them quickly you get incentive chips and credit chips which you can sell for 2500 and 500 respectively. Lightnings' str is at 339: 2x brawler wristbands and lvl11 Gladius. ^^
made a spreadsheet, so far found is best (cost wise) to buy scaled wings from creature comforts to get x3 exp points then level up equipment with turbojets.
Hopes' 'weapons' are dismal.

So Far
was thinking about ffxiii when i woke up this morning. Something about Lightnings' character just isn't quite right. In the beginning she was cold and hit Sazh when he begged her not to leave without him.
And now she is all lovey dovey with Hope and hugging him and all.
ok fair enough, she was 'fighting because she needed a target to concentrate on', but can she 'change' that much?
All the others seem to be pretty consistent in their roles.
Have been playing for approx 16hrs. Usually all I want to do with a new ff is just play, but this game just isn't pulling me in. Even though I didn't like xii, the leveling up/abilities system was good and that kept me with it, I even liked the gambit system.
The paradigm system is wack. I can' trust the medics to always heal, they just stand there doing nothing. The auto-generated ones are pretty crap, and you don't always get a chance to change it before being thrown into a boss fight.

Vanilles' Confession
Am fighting Brynhidr now. I think Sazh is the best voice actor in this game. Hes' got the emotion down to a t. still don't like Vanille tho.

Starting to really like personalities of the characters now, especially Ligthning. Actually felt relief/gladness when Snow and Fang busted in to protect Lightning and Hope (what's up with these names???) from being publicly executed.

Enemies stuck in the air
Managed to get two shots of it!!!
In the image above, feral behemoth is above the viewing area, but you know he's there because you can see his health, the target bar.
In the image below you can see him falling back down to the ground with energy lowered after being attacked some more.
How strange.

This and the level above enemies are good fun to kill, not like the pulse soldiers who you have to stagger to kill(!).
The music from the level above is cool, reminds me of yoko kannos' style of music with nonsense words. ^^
I like having Lightning in my team, Sazh and penelo, sorry, Vanille are extremely annoying/weak.
Oddly enough, there seems to be a weird bug in this level, the enemies seem to get 'stuck' in the air just above the viewing area.
The paradigm system is getting annoying, the auto generating isn't always efficient (setting Hope as the attacker and Lightning as the medic... O_o).

Have reached the vile peaks, background music seems similar to black mage village from ffix.

Vanille is quite irriatating, she makes so much 'aah', 'oh' and 'uh' noises waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often. Can't figure out whether her accent is english or autralian.

It is now 10:17am and still no post.
I have been awake since 8:43am.
I have woken up 4-5 times during the night, half asleep wondering if it's time for the post and once becasue of a nightmare that I had got the post and only recieved a vhs video of super street fighter 4!!!!
I could have already gone out, bought it and been playing ffxiii.
I will never pre-order again!
